About Me:
Lauren is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Mission Pediatrics, Inc. She started out as an NICU nurse and loves working with children and has a special heart for very tiny babies. She attended the University of San Diego and Loma Linda. She has been with Mission Pediatrics since 2013. With a background working in the NICU as a Registered Nurse before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2013, she always knew that children would play a major role in her life. By the way, our silliness team will sometimes insert something irrelevant into this bio just to keep you guessing…did you know it has been said that nearly 3% of the ice in Antarctic glaciers is penguin urine? Sorry, didn’t mean to gross you out, back to Lauren… having received her pediatric externship training at Mission Pediatrics, we saw right away her wonderful skills with patients and were thrilled to have her join our team. Lauren believes that children are so innocent and genuine that Lauren really values being able to help them in any way possible. “Children say what they think, it’s sometimes a little too honest, but that’s what I love about them.” Lauren has two children of her own, so she can easily relate to parents’ feelings and concerns. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach/poolside and her beautiful Irish Wolfhounds. We are overjoyed that Lauren is part of our team and actively working to make sure our patients have a delightfully different experience.
